A secret garden awaits you on 6, 7 and 8 June 2014 at the prestigious Complesso Monumentale del Giardino delle Scuderie Reali and Pagliere, with a unique exhibition space and interactive creative labs. The proceeds from ticket sales will fund the Homing research project, which offers comprehensive assistance to families with children suffering from serious, chronic and/or potentially terminal illnesses.
In collaboration with Museo Salvatore Ferragamo, Fondazione Ferragamo is participating in this event by offering two children’s workshops on Saturday, 7 June.

Secret Garden

At 10:30 am, a shoemaking workshop will be held for children aged 5 to 11. Taught by a master shoemaker, children will learn the differences between hides and the main steps in the crafting of a woman’s shoe. Then they will put their creativity to the test by assembling and decorating their very own sandal.
At 4:30 pm, a workshop on the creation of bags will be held for children aged 8 to 13. An expert will demonstrate the main steps in the construction of a bag and invite the children to assemble and decorate a small prototype using their imagination, in keeping with Salvatore Ferragamo’s passion for experimenting with innovative materials.
